We are studying CONCEPTS which are BIG ideas. We can study almost any topic under our concept curriculum and this year in Room 12 we will be do individual inquiry learning projects on things we are interested in and looking at connections and perspectives.
EXAMPLE: A main context is BELONGING and it includes ideas like Whanau, Heritage, Culture, and Sustainability - Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship).
We develop ideas and generalisations about our concepts that we will try to prove or disprove throughout the year.
EXAMPLE: Connections - We think that ... "Everything is connected to something"
